Very exciting. A whole year… in the midst of six months and my biggest piece of advice is pace yourselves. Stay in places a bit longer than you think is necessary so you have guilt-free down days. Hit me up if you have any questions as the planning proceeds.
Whoaa that's amazing! What a dream ❤️ My aunt has done the same thing, I'll ask her if she has any tips ;) In any case an experience of a lifetime! Can't wait to read the stories.
Whether it was harder or easier is debatable I guess 🤔 But I do know she wanted to be completely disconnected so she purposely didn't take a phone with her! She actually kept a travel blog to keep everyone at home updated and would call my grandparents from phone booths. This was around 2007 I think!
Whenever I travel for more than a couple of weeks. I start missing my place and my routine, so it’s sounds crazy to me haha but I’m sure it will be a lifetime experience for you guys. I would also recommend India for the food :p!
Thank you! We’re both not sure yet. We want to keep going on Substack of course! Currently, both of our jobs wouldn’t really suit the digital nomad life, but who knows what happens in 2026 :)
I love your itinerary and can't wait to read about your adventures!
Thank you! We can't wait to get started ;)
Would love to see you if you pass through Bosnia and Herzegovina 🇧🇦
Great recommendation, thank you! Will for sure put it on our list. Can we reach out to you for any tips & recommendations when the time comes? :)
But of course. It's a much undervisited location. Best's, David

Love this! You should go to DR if the budget and time allows it :)
Thanks for the recommendation, will for sure put it on our list ;)

Your is super aunt cool ;) It was probably also much harder to travel the world back then, right?

That sounds so badass!

Looking forward 🙌🏻
I fully understand that yeah! Maybe we're also done with it after a few weeks / months, who knows!
Thanks for the recommendation, I'll be sure to check if we can fit it in somehow
Looks like an amazing trip!
Will you be digital nomads and working, or will this be sabbatical/vacation during this time?
Thank you! We’re both not sure yet. We want to keep going on Substack of course! Currently, both of our jobs wouldn’t really suit the digital nomad life, but who knows what happens in 2026 :)
Yeah, if my job could be done digitally, maybe I would travel more.
But at my age, I am not ready to start at something new. I would rather just not work. (As long as my husband still works, of course) Haha.
Haha! We can fully understand the 'not working' mentality :) Hope you're able to slow it down in the coming time!
